CNBLUE to start world tour in April

Boy-band CNBLUE, which recently released the single “I am Sorry,” will embark on a first world tour in April.

"CNBLUE are planning a large-scale world tour starting in Asia and then heading to Europe, North and South America, and Australia," said the band's management company FNC Entertainment, Monday.

The group has confirmed it will play Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Beijing and Shanghai, while dates in other countries are still under discussion.

Comprised of vocalist Jung Yong-hwa, guitarist Lee Jong-hyun, drummer Kang Min-hyuk and Lee Jung-shin on bass, they built their reputation performing in clubs in Japan prior to their Korean debut. After their Korean debut in January 2010, they reached the top on KBS’ “Music Bank” chart with “I’m a Loner.”

CNBLUE are still active in Japan, and single “Robot” from their latest EP was released there on Dec. 29 and rose to second on the Japanese Oricon Chart. The band’s first Japanese studio album “Code Name Blue” was released in August last year before “Robot” the topped the Oricon daily and weekly charts shortly after its release.

CNBLUE released a new album called “Re:Blue” on Jan. 14, and will perform in Seoul in May as part of the world tour.
