The winged surface effect vehicle "Ivolga" is an all-weather high-speed, highly efficient and reliable vehicle of multiple purpose with up to 14 seats moving without contact with the surface at the heights from 0.2 to 3.0 m. At the weight of up to 3700 kg the winged surface effect vehicle "Ivolga" has the movement distance of up to 1500 km at the cruiser speed of 180 km/h. Due to affinity of the casing bottom to the surface of movement, the "surface effect" of the elevating force strengthening is generated by the dense air stream above the surface. With the help of this effect the vehicle slides on the condensed air layer above the surface without contacting it, consuming considerably smaller capacity of engines in comparison with the existing vehicles. By the profitability criterion the winged surface effect vehicle "Oriole" exceeds the cars up to 30%, high-speed court air cushion vessels 2 - 4 fold, and planes and helicopters 4 - 7 fold.

The winged surface effect vehicle "Ivolga", due to the air cushion forced by the air screws under the casing bottom at small speeds, and to the "surface effect" on a march can be applied in the conditions of impassability at the unprepared sites with extended biases of 1:10, in the boggy and flooded districts, on the internal water reservoirs and rivers including those covered with ice and snow, and also in the marine conditions at rough sea of up to 3 - 4 numbers. The winged surface effect vehicle "Ivolga" can be based both on the ground and on water surfaces with an independent exit without application of berths, hydrodescents and other coastal devices.

The winged surface effect vehicle "Ivolga" is simple in the maintenance service which is carried out by the crew. It is equipped by the engines and systems from serial BMW or "Volga" cars. The winged surface effect vehicle acting as an amphibian gear is able to move in the conditions of impassability, above equal unprepared land sites with extended biases of 1:10 and inequalities of up to 0.3 m, in the boggy and flooded districts, above the internal water reservoirs and rivers, including those covered with snow and ice. The winged surface effect vehicle is independently leave on the coast and descend to the water without application of berthing and hydrodescent. By the profitability criterion the winged surface effect vehicle exceeds by the weight the cars up to 30-50%, high-speed court air cushion vessels 2 - 4 fold, and planes and helicopters 4 - 7 fold. The winged surface effect vehicle EK-12 is economic, unpretentious, comfortable, has great degree of autonomy and is simple in operation. At basing the winged surface effect vehicle does not destroy the ground and grass, during movement over the water reservoirs has no contact with water and does not make waves, and is comparable with an automobile by the criteria of noise and toxicity. High ecological compatibility resolves its operation above ecologically vulnerable water reservoirs and rivers, that in combination with other properties makes the application of the winged surface effect vehicle attractive to rest, hunting, and tourist and excursion purposes.

High characteristics are achieved due to use of the physical phenomenon of "surface effect" and "feeding" technologies at the movement of the winged surface effect vehicle.

The "surface effect" is shown in the increase of aerodynamic elevating force at simultaneous reduction of aerodynamic resistance while moving at small heights (smaller wing chords) due to creation of a dynamic air cushion between the case central plane and the surface of movement. The "feeding" technology includes creation of an air cushion when forcing the air from the ahead located air screws under the case central plane bottom that provides contactless movement at the height of 0 to 0.3 m at the speed from 0 to 80 km/hour.

2.2. Configuration of the winged surface effect vehicle

The winged surface effect vehicle (fig. 1) is performed by the scheme of "compound wing" with one-keel Т-shaped tail plumage. The compound wing consists of the central plane case, the wing with the big chord and small scope, and two adjacent consoles – the aviation wings. The central plane contains the engines and all power units, and also the pilot cabin with the passenger salon and luggage compartment, closed from above by a convenient streamlined lantern. The winged surface effect vehicle has two floats connected with the central plane by the catamaran scheme. Ahead on the case (fuselage) there is established the pylon with two air screws in a ring, connected by joints to the engines placed inside the central plane.

Performance of contours without acting ill- streamlined elements provides the winged surface effect vehicle with low aerodynamic resistance and high aerodynamic quality at small heights of movement. The central plane is executed with the big negative arrow angle on the back edge and is equipped with flaps. The ring screws are equipped with the drive of the screws rotation axis inclination for direction of an air jet under the central plane and creation of the air cushion ("feeding"). By interfering of the air flowing out from under the central plane the floats raise the use of the screen effect and the air pillow at feeding. The floats are executed with water-proof compartments for the floodability maintenance of the winged surface effect vehicle. The catamaran scheme promotes the increase of buoyancy and provides good stability at navigation and drift.

The winged surface effect vehicle possesses stability at movement in the operative range of the screen effect at the heights of 0.2 to 3 meters, good controllability in all modes of movement, is simple in piloting. The power unit capacity stocks the rudders control sufficient to continue the movement at failure of one engine. Small height of movement provides safety at emergency landing.
