Dawnguard Wins VGA’s “Best Downloadable Game”

Dawnguard won the award for “Best Downloadable Game” at Friday’s 10th Annual Video Game Awards.

Dawnguard, the first DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (which won 2011′s VGA Game of the Year), was up against Mass Effect 3′s “Leviathan,” Borderlands 2′s “Mechromancer Pack,” and Portal 2′s “Perpetual Testing Initiative.”

Dawnguard gives players the choice to join a band of fighters hellbent on ridding the country of Skyrim of vampires, or to chose the other route completely and decide to side with the vampires and ultimately become a Vampire Lord.

Really happy Elder Scrolls took this category. Now just imagine if Dragonborn had been a contender. How do you say ‘no contest’ in dragon-speak?

“Nid contest” is how the dragons would say it

I find it laughable that they can not fix the issues with the PS3 to allow it to be available on that format.

Best downloadable game? I wouldn’t consider dlc a game. There are a lot of “downloadable games” that are better than the dawnguard questline (not skyrim itself)
