Oregon State University’s department of Student Media invites applications for a full-time, 1.0 FTE, 12-month, fixed-term Creative Services Coordinator position. The Creative Services Coordinator exists to provide, create and maintain an experiential learning and training program that is enriching to students and staff and integrates professional skills, values, ethics and responsibilities. Position provides production leadership and advising of several student media organizations, including The Daily Barometer specifically, and other media as needed. The Creative Coordinator is primarily responsible for making sure that all Barometer ads are produced from 8 to 5 the day prior to publication. The Creative Coordinator reports to the Director of Student Media and works with the Assistant Director of Student Media on a number of projects: The Daily Barometer, OSU Directory and special projects including marketing and sales campaigns. Requirements |
|
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts, Marketing or Journalism, or equivalent in newspaper creative design and production experience. Knowledge of Macintosh computers and software for production including PageMaker, InDesign, Ad Creator, Illustrator, Photoshop and related publishing software. Minimum one year practical experience in advertising sales and/or ad sales management background of a professional and/or daily college newspaper. Broad knowledge of the principles and practices of advertising sales, marketing, public relations, promotion, digital and online media. Evidence of ability to work with students in a supportive, positive, constructive and mentoring atmosphere.
