Director Kalanjiyam, who has directed a few films in Kollywood, including Kizhakkum Maerkkum and Poonthottam, has changed his name to Prabhakaran for Tollywood. The director is all set to release his Karungali in Telugu, and felt that the Tollywood audience would be unable to get his name right. So, he's changed his name to Prabhakaran.

A source says, "Karungali, starring Kalanjiyam, Anjali, Srinivas and Sunitha Varma in the lead, is about a sex maniac who tortures a house wife into conceding to his needs. Will the woman find out his true intention and stop him in time? The film will be dubbed into Telugu and released as Sathileelavathi 2012."
