ROBBA MORAN

Robba Moran was appointed to the Kansas Board of Regents by Governor Sam Brownback in 2011, and serves as a member of the Board’s Fiscal Affairs and Audit Committee and the Retirement Plan Committee. She is also the Board’s representative on the Kansas State University Research Foundation.

Moran serves on the Board of Directors of Kansas Agriculture and Rural Leadership, Inc. and the Board of Visitors of KSU’s Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art. She is past president of the Kansas State Fair Board, co-founder and past chairman of Kids Voting Kansas – Hays, and past member of the Hays Medical Center Board of Directors. She is a member of the Kansas Music Educators Association and the National Association for Music Education.

Moran holds a B.S. in Business Administration from William Jewell College, Liberty, Missouri, and a J.D. from Duke University. She practiced law in Kansas City and later was an Assistant Professor of Business at Fort Hays State University. During her years as a stay-at-home mother, she worked as a campaign and school volunteer, and as a staff accompanist in the music departments of FHSU and U.S.D. 489 in Hays. She and her husband, U.S. Senator Jerry Moran, have two daughters – Kelsey is a 2010 KSU graduate and Alex is a KSU junior.
