Prolotherapy, Vitamin, Mineral and Antioxidant Intravenous Therapies
Welcome to Okanagan Natural Medicine

Naturopathic physicians combine the wisdom of nature with the rigors of modern science. Steeped in traditional healing methods, principles and practices, naturopathic medicine focuses on proactive prevention and comprehensive diagnosis and treatment. By using protocols that minimize the risk of harm, naturopathic physicians help facilitate the body’s inherent ability to restore and maintain optimal health. It is the naturopathic physician’s role to identify and remove barriers to good health by helping to create a healing internal and external environment.

For many of you this may be your first time consulting with a naturopathic physician. For others, you may have been treated in the past by one of Dr. Entner’s or Dr. Spooner’s colleagues. Please take a few moments to read the Frequently Asked Questions page as this briefly answers many of the common questions.

Our goal at this clinic is to provide high quality, individualized care using research-informed natural medicine. We encourage your active participation in this process and hope to provide you with the tools you need to take charge of your own health and feel confident in the choices you make about you and your family’s health care.
We work with both acute and chronic health conditions; conditions of many years duration will require more time and effort than recent problems. Patience, motivation and discipline are the key attributes for a successful outcome.

We will provide you with a personal file where you can keep copies of tests, handouts and questions regarding your health care at the clinic.

What to Expect

In general, the first visit is a consultation and is scheduled for 60 minutes. Some cases may warrant a bit more or bit less time. In advance, you will be asked to fill in a comprehensive intake form which Dr. Entner or Dr. Spooner will refer to during the history taking. A thorough history, discussion of diagnostic / therapeutic options and expectations will be the focus of this initial visit. Your doctor will work with you to set up a customized health management strategy.

The second visit is usually devoted to assessment. Physical examination, in house specialty tests and standard lab tests will either be performed or specimens collected. At this time a review of patient ‘homework’ and evaluation of the first week of treatment will also be done. The appointment usually lasts 30 minutes. Subsequent follow up appointments are scheduled as needed for 15 minutes in length.

Since our services are not covered by provincial health plan, you are responsible for payment of any expenses incurred. Some extended health insurance policies may help offset some of these fees. We suggest that you discuss your coverage with your individual insurer.

We do expect payment at the time services are rendered either by cash, debit or credit card. It must also be noted that the visit in which the majority of diagnostic tests and evaluations are performed is often the most expensive and time consuming. Subsequent follow-up visits are usually less costly and shorter in length. Due to safety and sterility issues, Pharmacy items cannot be returned for refund once dispensed. Please read the fee schedule so that you are familiar with the costs of the individual tests and services.

If questions or problems arise in regard to the quality of care, billing or other concerns please feel free to discuss them with Dr. Entner, Dr. Spooner or with Lisa, the office manager. Your opinions are important to us and we aim to satisfy all patients to the best of our ability.

We look forward to serving you and wish you good health and happiness.
