Giving help, getting help in the Midlands, Feb. 8

ST. ANDREWS ARBOR DAY COMMITTEE will hold a major cleanup Saturday and needs some willing workers. The committee was formed to enhance the areas not covered by the Irmo Arbor Day Committee, specifically St. Andrews Road from the town limits to I-26, Piney Grove Road from St. Andrews Road to I-26 and Old Bush River Road from St. Andrews Road to Lake Murray Boulevard. Volunteers should meet at 8:30 a.m. at Seven Oaks Park in the parking lot closest to the tennis courts. Keep the Midlands Beautiful will provide vests, bags, some work gloves and grabbers. If you can help, email spicegirl1@sc.rr.com so there will be enough supplies.
