Disclaimer of Liability for Information on the ECU website.

Although care has been taken in preparing the information contained on the ECU website, the information is provided for personal and/or educational purposes only, and Edith Cowan University does not, and cannot, provide any warranty, guarantee or promise express or implied concerning the content, completeness, accuracy, currency or otherwise of any individual item of information provided through the ECU website.

The information on the ECU website is provided on the basis that all persons accessing the site take responsibility for assessing the relevance and accuracy of its content, and ECU suggests that users requiring confirmation of any information should refer to the faculties or divisions sourcing the information to ECU. Applicable law may not allow the exclusion of some implied warranties, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.

Disclaimer with Respect to Personal Pages

The contents of all personal pages published by students or staff are solely the responsibility of the page authors. Statements made and opinions expressed on personal pages are strictly those of the authors and not Edith Cowan University. ECU does not review, approve or endorse the contents of personal pages, and does not accept responsibility for any loss, damage, harm or injury occasioned by unlawful, offensive, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, discriminatory, libellous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable material on any personal page. Edith Cowan University is not responsible for the material contained in, or links connected to, personal home pages and cannot be held liable for their contents.

Disclaimer of Other Sites

Edith Cowan University is not responsible for the contents, information or services which may appear on any off site pages, web sites or links referenced. The presence of a hyper-link from a page on one of ECU's WWW servers is for convenience only and does not imply any kind of endorsement by the University of those pages or links, or any endorsement of the contents or material on them. ECU is not responsible for the use of a hyper-link for which a commercial charge applies, and individual users are responsible for any charges that their use may incur.

Limitation of Liability

The entire risk as to the use of information on the ECU website is assumed by you. ECU shall have no liability to a user, or any other person or entity for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages whatsoever, even if ECU has been advised of the possibility of such damages, or they are foreseeable. Applicable law may not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
