Hello Stormy, for those who might not know you please let us know you are and please describe yourself?

I am Stormy Daniels, Wicked Pictures Contract star and director/writer. I’m also a magazine model, adult novelty company owner, feature dancer, equestrian, kickass girlfriend and mommy.

How did you get interested in joining the adult industry?

I needed a way to make money to pay rent without having to drop out of high school during my senior year. Dancing was the perfect way to do that. I was able to work Friday and Saturday nights and make enough without having to give up on school.

About a year later, I moved to a club that had feature entertainers and I just knew that was what I really wanted to do. Another girl hooked me up with a photographer and one thing led to another and here I am.

You have been concentrating more on directing than performing over the last couple years. Knowing that both pose their own challenges, which would you say gives you the bigger thrill?

Definitely directing! I’m a control freak so it is the perfect job for me. Also I really love the creative aspect. It is so exciting for me to take something from my mind to paper to screen. For me, it is much more rewarding that just showing up and performing. But keep in mind that I star in a lot of the movies I direct. That way, I get the best of both worlds.

Your two newest movies that you have directed and starred in were Blow and Perfect Partner. For those people that haven’t seen either of these yet, what can you tell us about them?

Blow was shot in Florida and we had so many things go wrong during shooting; weather, people trapped in an elevator, car accident, hives, etc. that I am surprised that the movie turned out as awesome as it did. I experimented quite a bit cinematically with Blow and I am very proud of it. The fight scene is also one of the best I’ve ever seen in adult.

Perfect Partner is a cute romantic comedy about a girl having the worst day of her life. When she gets fired instead of making partner at her firm, she goes away for the weekend with an old friend. They discover their true feelings for each other, even though his zany family almost gets in the way.

You have also started directing for the Wicked Passions line. How is directing a Wicked Passions movie compared to a regular Wicked release?

It is much more challenging. I basically have to retrain the performers. They are so used to playing to camera and to the audience at home but the Passions line is about the connection with each other. It is much more intimate and that is difficult for some of them. There are no hardcore close-ups and the actual filming angles are softer/more romantic so even the videographer has to adjust his technique.

I haven’t seen you talk about it too much but are you still planning on finishing the Operation: Stormy
movies. I believe the last one was going to be called Operation: Frozen Stormy?

It was supposed to be Operation: Snow Stormy but it has been vetoed because of budget.

Late last year you became involved with a new product called My Intima. What can you tell us about the product and what does it do?

It is hands free lube dispenser. Everyone has the problem of the sticky lube bottles in the bedside drawer. This product puts an end to that mess. It can be used with any lube and is battery operated. Just fill it with your favorite lube then throw away the bottle. It even lights up so using it in the dark is no problem.

What would you say is your favorite movie you have directed or starred in and why?

So hard to pick just one! I’d say Operation: Tropical Stormy. It was the biggest budget; I did my own stunts, my first B/B/G and got to blow a lot of shit up!

Other favorites include: Blow, The Predator series, Operation: Desert Stormy, Forbidden, Price of Lust and Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre.

You created your own production company and released your first movie called Forbidden. What kind of movies can we expect to see from your company and how will they be different than the movies you do directly for Wicked?

Because of the piracy in the entertainment industry, it isn’t cost effective for me to keep producing. I’m even losing money making content for my site.

What would you say is the biggest misconception people have of people who work in the adult industry?

That we were forced into this line of work by someone, that we have no morals, that we are all drug addicts, we are too stupid to do anything else and/or we are sexual predators.

Most of the girls I’ve met are completely in control of their sexuality and therefore definitely were not coerced into porn by anyone. I even direct most of my own movies so clearly I’m not being taken advantage of by anyone. Of course there are bad apples in every profession but the drug addicts and stupid people don’t last very long. As for being called a child molester, yes, some people really think that, how many adult people have ever been arrested for that? How many teachers, coaches, and priests have been? I rest my case.

What advice would you give someone that is thinking about joining the adult industry?

Don’t do it. You have to have the toughest skin to deal with the things people will say to you. For every adoring fan, there will be 100 people that believe you are scum and better off dead and they will not be shy about telling you. Also everyone you know will find out. If you are worried about anyone knowing that you are a pornstar, then it is not the job for you. I’m one of the rare exceptions to that so I’m lucky and I adore my job.

What sort of things do you like to do when you aren’t working on your site? Any hobbies?

I do eventing, jumping and dressage, with my horse Bailey.

Are there any projects or special events coming up that you would like to promote, if so please do so?

I will be dancing at Blush in Pittsburgh in September, attending Nightmoves in Tampa in Oct, hosting a Halloween bash in Houston Oct 19 in conjunction with an Adam and Eve store signing, attending Exxxotica NJ in November and dancing at Oasis in Philly in December. Of course, I will be shooting for Wicked in between.
