Sites resume normal operations following Mid-Atlantic storm (March 7, 2013; 12 Noon Eastern Time)
Sites in the Washington, DC metropolitan area have resumed normal operations following this week's winter storm that passed through the region. This includes Germantown, Md., which was still operating under the liberal leave policy and eXMeritus facility in Fairfax, Va., where power was lost but has now been restored.
Employees should report to work at their regular time and location.
Employee safety is always a priority. Therefore employees in the region are reminded to be aware of local travel advisories and use discretion when deciding to venture out. When road conditions are difficult employees are advised to plan appropriately.
Employees who may need to change their work routine should check with their manager regarding their work schedule and how to charge their time (telecommute, flex their time, take vacation, etc).
Employees are reminded to keep the Boeing emergency hotline number, 1 (800) 899-6431 readily available for updates on current site status anytime an event occurs that may result in a disruption to Boeing operations.
Again, all sites in the eastern region have returned to normal operations and employees should report to work per normal schedules. This will be the last update message for this website.
