I Am Empire Concert Dates

Tooth & Nail Records' Christian rockers I Am Empire has had a really busy and productive year in 2011. They saw their major label debut, Kings (Purchase/Download) hit stores this past January, and it wowed fans and critics alike. Then, they had their song, "The Elevator," make it the video game Rock Band, joining bands like Flyleaf and Skillet as some of the very few Christian bands to get placement in the Rock Band franchise.

I Am Empire is so excited about the video game, they are having a contest for fans. The Rock Band challenge offers a chance to win a Fender Squier Guitar. Fans must film themselves singing or playing I Am Empire's song ("The Elevator") and submit it by November 20, 2011 in order to be judged. The video with the highest score will be selected to win the autographed guitar from the band. (Note: "The Elevator" is available for download in the Rock Band Marketplace for Rock Band 3 on XBOX.)

Lead guitarist Andrew Stanton says that the band is pumped about hearing fans perform their music. In a press release, he was quoted as saying, "We are really looking forward to seeing the videos of people competing and playing our song. The coolest thing about Rock Band is that you have the chance to play not only the guitar, but also the bass, drums, and you can sing. Good luck everyone."

To close out their busy year, they're currently on the road with their first headlining tour. The "Kings and Queens" tour with Nine Lashes and Blood and Water kicked off on October 13th in Roseville, California. It will run through November 20th, where it will end in Newport, Oregon.

Drummer Eric Martin shared their feelings about the tour by saying, "We've been on the road for what seems like two years straight, supporting and opening, but now we are finally heading out on our very first headlining tour. We are super excited to hit the road with our friends Nine Lashes and Blood and Water, but we are even more excited because we have around 33 concerts in 40 days. It is going to be a blast."
