About Us

Ceylon Today, is an English language newspaper with Sunday and daily editions, published by Ceylon Newspapers (Pvt) Ltd. (CNL), located at 101 Rosmead Place Colombo 7.

Ceylon Today, and its sister paper Mawbima in the Sinhala language were launched on 18 November 2011, adding a new chapter to the history of media development in Sri Lanka, as the only newspaper to have a simultaneous daily and Sunday launch.

Though new kid on the block, the newspaper has gained the serious attention and respect of the people who matter in Sri Lanka and abroad, because of the independent editorial stance; reliable, unbiased, impartial and non-partisan coverage of news, and the high standards of professionalism and media ethics maintained.

Ceylon Today provides comprehensive and insightful coverage on a gamut of topics that include unfolding events, behind the news and human interest stories, issue based investigation and analysis, highly perspective opinion pieces written by distinguished writers and extensive coverage of politics, business and sports. It also actively encourages interactive reader participation through forums, debates and citizen concerns. The newspaper caters to a broad cross-section of society and has a countrywide circulation.

The paper

Ceylon Today has several sections, during the week and on Sundays. These include:

	Latitude – Sunday
	Teen Inc. – Sunday
	Scribbler – Sunday
Ceylon Today also does a regular supplement on Education on Sundays
