In the third episode of Complex TV's Combat Jack Show, he asks Black Thought about getting challenged to battle. "Nobody has ever really wanted it with me," Though replies nonchalantly. "Never ever." Stay tuned for Episode 4 on Monday April 29 with Waka Flocka!
In the second episode of Complex TV's Combat Jack Show, Jack calls Black Thought a "rap super hero." Thought recalls the posse cuts he used to make by impersonating 20 different rappers—Biz Markie, Kool G. Rap, Big Daddy Kane, and more—while Questlove changed the beats up for each one. Tune in tomorrow 4/25/13 for Episode 3 with Black Thought!
Nobody does real talk like Combat Jack. Reggie Ossé aka Combat Jack is a former rap industry attorney, media executive, author, and host of Combat Jack's Daily Mathematics internet radio show. In the premiere episode of Complex TV's Combat Jack show, our host asks "Have you ever been in any real beefs?" Black Thought responds that "the only little bump in the road" was his conflict with Nas, who dissed The Roots during an interview on Hot 97. The Roots MC gives the inside story of how the trouble began and how he prepared to battle Nas—or perhaps "slap the shit out of" him—when they met at a show with Talib Kweli. "I was gonna take Nas that night," says Thought, but cooler heads prevailed. WANT MORE? THE CONVERSATION CONTINUES... TUNE IN WEDNESDAY 4/24 FOR EPISODE 2 & THURSDAY 4/25 FOR EPISODE 3!!!!
In the latest Quickstrike episode, DJ Clark Kent and Russ Bengtson discuss the importance of the Shaq Attaq and Shaquille O'Neal's return to Reebok. Then, considering it is the post-season, they discuss the importance of the Nike Basketball Elite releases and ask an important question, why don't players have access to Elite models all season? Clark and Russ then unveil their choices for sneaker of the week.
South by Southwest is always a grind for the bands that play, but for Lucius it does afford them the opportunity to not only play their music in front of a broad audience, but also check out some of their own favorite bands. Our interview runs the gamut of subject matter by revealing why hairspray is the most essential item to survive on the road, the bands they're listening to, and how they keep their sets interesting to themselves with such a heavy touring schedule.
We sat down with Argentinian band Bajofondo to discuss what goes into creating their incredibly compelling live show, the rigors of SXSW, and how going home to Argentina and Uruguay is always a great experience despite being spread out all over the world.
The So So Glos are a fixture of the New York punk scene, so it should come as no surprise that they repped venerable Brooklyn punk venue Shea Stadium throughout our interview. We also manage to cover everything from Anthony Bourdain in space to well, Shea Stadium some more.
Hank & Cupcakes hate describing their own music and anyone that sees their live show can attest that it's a nearly impossible task. We caught up with the Brooklyn via-Israel husband and wife duo to discover what the future holds for the band.

"Style defines culture. Our people define style." What better way to sum up Complex's February/March 2012 issue, starring style kings A$AP Rocky and Jeremy Scott? Hip-hop's hottest rookie has been rocking Jeremy's outrageous designs for years, before LIVE.LOVE.A$AP and that infamous $3 million deal brought his Harlem Mob to the forefront of NYC rap. And while Jeremy is no stranger to hip-hop's flashiest stars, it's good to see the veteran fashion icon is still embracing the new generation with open arms.
Watch how Self Edge in New York can make your favorite pair of jeans last longer as Andrew Chen walks through the darning process.

When Edward Archer was just a 16-year-old high school student living in Brooklyn, he connected with “Hitman” Howie Tee and recorded a bombastically boastful song called “I Got It Made.” The song became the hit single off his debut album for Profile Records, Youngest In Charge, which sold more than a million copies, making the teenager’s bold words seem like prophecy. For the first edition of the new series “Magnum Opus,” Complex TV digs deep into the story behind the making of this hip-hop classic, speaking with fellow rappers like Dres from Black Sheep, Jarobi from A Tribe Called Quest, and Jeru The Damaja, as well as producers Pete Rock, The Twilite Tone, Rashad Smith, music exec D. Prosper, and of course Special Ed himself speaking about a rap record that became his Magnum Opus.
