Moving to London’s West Side

Many west London neighborhoods are known for their leafy residential streets of Victorian terraces and other period buildings with garden squares and grand parks close at hand, making the London apartments for rent here usually on the pricier end. Shepherd’s Bush, however—while it offers its own selection of nice streets and fantastic access to amenities—is admittedly less polished than its Holland Park and Notting Hill neighbors to the east and doesn’t benefit from as much green space. There’s a decent-sized green at Shepherd’s Bush Commons, though this triangular-shaped park is bordered by three major roads. Where leisure time is concerned, nonetheless, Hammersmith and Holland Parks are nearby, and just off two corners of Shepherd’s Bush Commons are cool entertainment venues—the Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Bush Theatre, and Bush Hall—for concerts and plays. The neighborhood’s Loftus Road stadium is also home of the Queen’s Park Rangers football club.

The neighborhood also gets more urban and commercial here near the Westfield Shopping Centre, a huge and relatively new shopping complex containing any retailer you can imagine from high street to high end and a host of great restaurants. For a less mainstream shopping experience, you might try Shepherd’s Bush Market, an open-air market of eclectic food and music with a prevailing Afro-Caribbean and Irish theme. The area is overall quite multicultural and home to loads of Australians, New Zealanders, and South Africans. Despite the hubbub of its shopping scene, the neighborhood has a laidback, unpretentious feel that renders quality Shepherd’s Bush apartments a really good value.

Regardless of where you search for said Shepherd’s Bush apartments, you have great transport links to the city center. Nearby tube stations are Shepherd’s Bush for the Central line and Shepherd’s Bush Market, Wood Lane, and Goldhawk Road for the Circle, District, and Hammersmith & City lines. There is also an Overground rail station at Shepherd’s Bush and nearly twenty bus routes running from there. You can also find at least five Barclays bike docking stations in and around the area for cycling to work or at your leisure.

Finding Shepherd’s Bush Apartments

There are some really nice, spacious London flats to be found in Shepherd’s Bush for reasonable rent prices, but to truly compare/contrast all your options, you’ll want to view a thorough representation of them. It’s typical for those moving to London to view anywhere from one to two dozen properties to adequately exhaust a given neighborhood’s available listings.

The issue with that is the time it takes to not only physically travel to each one of them but also find enough listings in the first place. Any one estate agency located in Shepherd’s Bush will hold stock in that immediate area, but it won’t hold all properties there. That in and of itself is fine and typical anywhere, but the real problem is that estate agencies don’t share their listings of London apartments with each other through a multiple listing system (MLS). To view a couple dozen flats, then, means visiting several different agencies to get a full snapshot of what the Shepherd’s Bush neighborhood can offer you.

London Relocation thwarts inefficiencies in the London rentals market by standing in as your own personal MLS. We’ll gather as many as 25 Shepherd’s Bush apartments for you to view in just one day, chauffeuring you to each one and negotiating the lease on the optimal place you select as soon as that same evening. We don’t beat around the Shepherd’s Bush, so to speak, when it comes to finding the best flats for rent in London swiftly yet comprehensively, making moving to London as easy as it gets.
