Gresso unveils the new Regal Black phone inspired from high-speed yachts
Manufacturer of luxury communication devices, Gresso is known for its innovative implementation of ideas in crafting exclusive phones for those, who value both luxury and functionality. Their high novelty value phones includes the special edition Avant-garde Grand Premiere phone costing $50K and the Formula 1 themed Grand Monaco LE. The company even introduced its personalization service to become the artist of your own creation. And, the latest from the house of Gresso is their traditionally handcrafted Regal Black Phone, inspired from high-speed yachts.
Boasting dynamic lines of Avantgarde collection, the new Regal Black Phone is inspired by marine and speed themes, reminding the elegant and swift lines of high-speed yachts. The Regal Black impresses with its subtle design; the sharpened bottom of the case, its minimalist style and dynamic silhouette, all signifies the expressive shape of the fast marine vessels. The whole image of the handset boasting deep black color represents the dynamic attitude of the phone. Further, the combination of glass and metal accentuate the perception of unconventional many-sided frame.
Notably, it’s for the first time that Gresso phone is made as a one-piece detail, thanks to the high-precision equipment performance that allowed the designers to cut the complicated frame geometry. Solid titanium slab has been used as the main material, and no compromises were allowed between the quality and the costs in manufacturing the Regal Black phone. The finished phone case has only 9% of the original metal work-piece, and the phone case got hand polished before its covering in black PVD-surface, giving extra protection. This technology creates the effect of a little rough mat metal texture, and it helped the engineers and designers to create the frame lines, symbolizing tenderness and harmony. In addition, the delicate play of faces highlights the luxurious and refined lifestyle.
As the solid weight of the Regal Black is divided with all the ergonomic features, the device fits soundly and comfortably in hand. The back and front panels has been executed in tempered mineral glass, and an exclusive tinting technology, especially engineered for the ‘Regal’ series gives the glass rich black color. The precision cutting technology, using a steel common for tough service conditions has been used by the designers to create the keyboard.
The phone weighs 130 grams, measures 121 x 46 x 12 mm, and works on Symbian S40 platform. The Regal Black phone series is limited as only 333 pieces will be made. This luxury accessory for a spotlight person will be available in April this year at the authorized Gresso dealers or at online-boutique, at an estimated price of $5,000.
