PHOTON Power AG has built a PV power plant rated at 3.5 MW in the business park Camp Astrid in Stolberg (Rheinland), Germany. 11,808 "MGSM-300D" solar modules by Dongfang Electric (Yixing) Magi Solar Power Technology Co. Ltd. (DEC Magi Solar) were attached to self-developed module racks. The racks are East-West oriented. The system was commissioned in December 2011, it is connected to the utility of Regionetz GmbH. The Baumgartner family from Vollmaringen, a borough of Nagold in the Northern Black Forest, Germany, has bought and renovated an old stonemason's house built at the end of the 19th century and made it its home. A PV system rated at 11.2 kW comprising 56 "GEPVp-200-MS" solar modules by GE Energy is installed on the roof. The roof has a 48 degree slope in the upper part and 40 degree slope in the lower part and faces due south. The system was commissioned in July 2008. Moreover there is an Allstar thermal solar collector by Paradigma Energie- und Umwelttechnik GmbH & Co. KG on the rooftop. Davide Castagnari has installed a PV system rated at 1.98 kW on the roof of his house in Recanati (MC), Italy. Twelve "Shell Powermax Plus 165 -C" solar modules by Shell Solar GmbH (in 2006 acquired by Solarworld AG) are attached to the roof. The roof is tilted by eleven degree and faces southeast. The system was commissioned in October 2006. Castagnari is the first one to install a PV system in Recanati, also he is the first reader who contacted the Italian editorial office of PHOTON to publish a portrait of his reader's system.
