Our very own 40 Year Old Whisky Liqueur won "World's Best Whisky Liqueur" at the 2013 World Whisky Awards! Made exclusively using 40 Year Old Single Malt Whisky from one of Speyside's most famous distilleries - at the time of launch this was the oldest Whisky Liqueur ever released for sale.

The base whisky used to make this extraordinary liqueur has matured for over 40 years in Speyside’s Traditional Warehouses, and upon reaching maturity has been carefully ‘seasoned’ with a few carefully chosen ingredients selected to match the flavour profile of the whisky, including Cinnamon, Orange Peel, and Cloves.

Excellent over ice, but more than good enough to drink neat – this liqueur has been only very lightly flavoured, allowing the superb quality of the intense base spirit to shine through.

For the Perfect Serve Pour a healthy measure of Liqueur into a tumbler full of ice, and serve straight away.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A very grown up nose, with rich leather notes, hints of cedar, cigar leaves, toffee apples, old sherry and woodsheds. Beguiling!

Palate: Rich and oaky with notes of soft wood smoke in a pine forest, manuka honey, rum spice and cinnamon.

Finish: Beautiful length, fading away on damson jam, barley and nutmeg.

No question

This is the finest whisky liqueur I've ever tasted. Massive Depth and compexity, real umami richness and rancio like so many old cognacs. Not particularly sweet, but it benefits massively from this.
