John Glenn appears on Emmy-award winning ‘Frasier’
Former astronaut and senator to narrate radio show

Tempers fly and a mischievous mind goes to work when Dr. Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) discovers that his long-time producer Roz Doyle (Peri Gilpin) has hired astronaut and former Sen. John Glenn for her radio show about space exploration on the Emmy-award winning “Frasier,” 9 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, on NBC.

Initially, Roz agrees to make Frasier the narrator of her space documentary. But as his suggestions run rampant, Frasier becomes Roz’s worst nightmare. After being replaced by Glenn, Frasier tries to manipulate the senator by imposing his opinions for the documentary on him.

Glenn, the first American astronaut to orbit the Earth, became the oldest man ever to be launched into space in 1998 on the Shuttle Discovery.

Prior to his final space exploration, Glenn and The Ohio State University announced the creation of the John Glenn Institute for Public Service and Public Policy, which encourages young adults to become active participants in democracy. Glenn, a four-term senator from Ohio, donated the papers that document his career as an astronaut and a senator to Ohio State.
