Education Center, Professional Development Center, Bldg 465:

The Education Center is located in the Professional Development Center, Bldg 465, on the corner of Dyer Street and Rock Island Street. The hours of operations are 0730-1800 Monday - Friday. The front desk telephone number is (575) 678-4646.

The center offers a wide variety of schools to choose from, including Dona Ana Community College (a branch of New Mexico State), New Mexico State University (NMSU), Embry-Riddle University, American Military University, and hundreds of Online/Distance Learning Schools from which to choose. Many types of exams are administered, such as CLEPs, DSSTs (Dantes Subject Standardized Tests), etc., and are available by appointment.

The Education Counselor can be contacted at (575) 678-4716/4211, or in Rm 128 inside the Army Learning Center (ALC). The Counselor’s hours are: Tues, Wed, Thu, 0900-1800, Fri 0730-1630, and Sunday, 0730-1215. Family Members are strongly encouraged to see the Counselor and to utilize the available services, including information on Scholarships and other types of Financial Aid.

The Computer Lab hours, with its 24 computers, are similar to the counselor’s hours, except that it is also open on Monday, 0800-1630.
