Coroner rules Johnny Lewis’ death accidental

The former “Sons Of Anarchy” star plunged to his death in September following a fight with his landlady, Catherine Davis, who he is suspected of killing at her home in Los Angeles.

A report released by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office on Thursday deems it unlikely that Lewis intentionally jumped to his death. It also notes no evidence of interference from a second party.

The document reads, “It appears that the decedent jumped over a wrought iron railing at the top of the terrace to drop to the driveway below during his attempt to flee the location. During this jump the decedent lost his balance and landed on the concrete driveway headfirst.

“Decedent died of a fall. We do not have definitive evidence that the decedent intended to kill himself. We also do not at this time have any evidence that he was pushed. Therefore, the manner of death is accidental.”

A lab report concluded that the actor, who had reportedly been in rehab shortly before his death, tested negative for alcohol, and no narcotics were detected in his system, according to TheWrap.com.

Johnny Lewis’ ashes scattered in sea

A ruling on the cause of actor Johnny Lewis’ death has been deferred, following the completion of an autopsy on his body.

Lewis’ death certificate, obtained by “Entertainment Tonight,” reveals the “Sons of Anarchy” star was cremated and his ashes were scattered off the coast of San Diego.

Officials believe he died on September 26 after climbing onto his landlady’s roof and either jumping or falling to the pavement below.

He is suspected of murdering his 81-year-old landlady, Catherine Davis, who was also found dead inside her Los Angeles home.

His immediate cause of death has yet to be confirmed, with examiners writing “deferred” on his death certificate.
