A light-heavyweight bout between Vinny Magalhaes (10-6 MMA, 1-3 UFC) and Anthony Perosh (13-7 MMA, 3-2 UFC) is targeted for UFC 163 in August.
Magalhaes retweeted news of the bout following an initial report from Ataque Total.
UFC 163 takes place Aug. 3 at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FX and Facebook.
It's not clear where Magalhaes vs. Perosh will be placed on the lineup.
Magalhaes, who fights in his home country, was a runner-up on "The Ultimate Fighter 8" who lost his first two UFC fights, but he eventually fought his way back to the organization. At UFC 152, the 28-year-old submitted Igor Pokrajac for his sixth straight win. However, in his most recent outing, the former M-1 champ and Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist suffered a decision loss to wrestling standout Phil Davis at UFC 159.
He looks to get back on track against Perosh, a 41-year-old who had won three straight UFC fights in 2011 and 2012. However, he returned from a 16-month injury layoff this past July and suffered a seven-second knockout loss to Ryan Jimmo. The Australian has been nursing a toe injury since then and now fights for the first time in 2013.
