| Van Norman made at least 22 different models of "Ram Type"
milling machines between 1937 and 1981. Many of the models are
variations of a basic machine, as indicated by letters following
the model number. On this page, I will cover the specs of the
12 basic models. From here you can follow links to pages dedicated
to each model, where the variations of that model are explained in
more detail.
At least for now, many of the individual model pages are blank, since information about some of the more obscure mills is hard to find. I will continue to add information as I find it, but I expect that some models will never have complete data. If you own a Van Norman mill, especially a model for which the page is incomplete, please contact me so I can update this site. Each basic model occupies one column in the table below. The model numbers appear in bold at the top and bottom of each column. The model number at the top of each column is a link to the page dedicated to that model or group of models. The specs for each mill are listed below the model number. "?" means I don't have the information for that mill. |
