Amdavad, the city of Ahmed Shah (Medieval ruler of Gujarat ), is known for its

In 2001, the population of Amdavad Urban Agglomeration was 4.51 million while
the AMC area was 3.51 million. The average decadal growth rate of population in
the AMC area since 1901 has been 37.55% against a national average of 25% approximately.
