Study Abroad

The Honors College encourages all Honors students to participate in study abroad as part of their undergraduate education. Toward this goal, the Honors College offers Study Abroad Scholarships to help offset the costs of travel and living expenses for students who study abroad. See “Study Abroad Scholarships” below for additional information on these scholarships as well as others that are available to Texas Tech University students.

TTU Centers

Texas Tech University offers classes abroad at centers in Seville, Spain and Quedlinburg, Germany. For additional information on those centers, go to TTU Center, Seville and TTU Center, Quedlinburg

Also, several departments and colleges have organized study abroad classes for which qualified Texas Tech University students may apply. The Study Abroad Website will have information on those classes as well as study abroad opportunities through other institutions in the United States and

Honors Courses Abroad

The Honors College also offers classes with a study abroad component and/or classes taught abroad, such as the London/Paris Study Abroad Program.  Keep your eye on this site for information about Honors College study abroad opportunities.

Passport Information

The Office of International Affairs is an official passport application office. They can accept your passport application and make your passport photographs. Get more information on how to apply for a passport.

Honors College Study Abroad Waiver

The Study Abroad Waiver allows you to obtain Honors Credit for studying abroad with a non-Honors related study-abroad program. Talk to Thomas Reynolds prior your trip to get Honors credit for studying abroad!

Honors Student Study Abroad Blogs

Students working toward the Study Abroad Waiver are required to keep an online journal of their travels.
