Bury sign Nathan Cameron and Greg McDermott

Bury have completed the signings of Nathan Cameron and Greg McDermott.

Defender Cameron, 21, has agreed a two-year deal with the Shakers after leaving Coventry City this summer.

He played in Northampton's League Two play-off final defeat against Bradford in May and was made a contract offer to stay with the Cobblers.

Midfielder McDermott, also 21, has signed for a year. He is the son of ex-England international Terry and came through Newcastle's youth system.

He failed to make a senior appearance for the Magpies and also did not play a game for non-League Stockport County, whom he joined in February.

The Shakers completed the signings of Gareth Roberts and Ashley Grimes on Thursday, while Euan Holden returned to Gigg Lane having been one of 16 players released at the end of last season.

Bury were relegated from League One in April following a financially-troubled campaign.
