[ - ] So, I have a few male friends (married in their 40s) who are very chatty/long-winded, and low-tech (barely know how to use their phones), but get into snarky/teasing texting/FB interactions with me (also 40s and married). Is this just an extension of their long-windedness, or is it actual flirting? 5 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Dershowitz correctly states the law of self-defense. Take notes, all UB harpies: Even "if Zimmerman verbally provoked Martin, but Martin then got on top of Zimmerman and banged his head into the ground, broke his nose, bloodied his eyes and persisted in attacking Zimmerman — and if Zimmerman couldn’t protect himself from further attack except by shooting Martin — he would have the right to do that. (The prosecution has already admitted that it has no evidence that Zimmerman started the actual fight.)" [ - ] Trying to work through this email I just got from SIL. She is pg and just emailed me and DH (her brother) to tell us she is naming her baby DH's name. She listed a bunch of reasons for the choice, one of which was to honor my DH by doing this. I just had a miscarriage (she knows). Who knows if the baby we lost would have been a boy, or if we would have used DH's name - but I just feel like she should have asked, not told, us about this. Especially not via email. We don't "own" the name and would have been touched had she asked in person - but this is leaving me just so upset. Am I wrong? 13 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

It varies district by district. My friend teaches in a large city in the midwest and starts at about $37k, retires at almost $70k. You can look it up online (I thought about teaching so I checked out some salaries in various cities). Other places start at $30k, in NYC starts at about 50k I think. Starting salary is not that different from most jobs right out of college but there's no big promotion or big jump in salary. Most places you will never hit 70k. [ Reply | More ]

I've always been size 4; it wasn't my weight. It is the fitness level, strength and confidence. Had skinny arms and calves; now shapely and strong. Feel rock solid! [ Reply | More ]
