MISSOULA - Collectors and admirers, young and old, gathered in Big Sky High School to check out the 32nd annual Train Show and Swap Meet.

The Missoula Model Railroad Club presented the event that allowed vendors to pack in, show off their merchandise and display a variety of working model trains.

It wasn't just trains at this event as the Five Valley Modelers also displayed their cars. Those attending the event perused through all the models and memorabilia, some in search of a particular item, others just looking to learn more about trains.

"In some cases, it's grandparents with kids and the grandparents are interested and they're trying to introduce the kids. But with very few exceptions, it's all people that have some interest in trains or trolleys or model trains or toy trains; something to do with trains," said National Railway Historical Society Director, Mac Palmer.

This event usually brings over 1,000 people each year.
