CRVENA ZVEZDA adds Blazic
Jaka Blazic - Union Olimpija - EB12Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade continued building a strong roster for its Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut next season by inking shooting guard Jaka Blazic to a three-year deal, the club announced Monday night. Blazic (1.93 meters, 22 years old) arrives from Union Olimpija Ljubljana, where he averaged 12.4 points, 4 rebounds in 1.9 assists in 10 Euroleague games last season. His best game came at home against Mapooro Cantu, as Blazic had 30 points and the go-ahead free throws in an 81-79 win. Blazic started his career with Triglav Kranj and also played for Geoplin Slovan Ljubljana before joining Olimpija in summer 2011. He has helped Olimpija win back-to-back Slovenian Cup titles in each of the last two seasons. Blazic has been a member of the Slovenian U20 national team and is expected to make his senior national team debut this summer.
