Soccer Fans Among 23 Iraqis Killed in Ongoing Attacks
Wednesday: 23 Killed, 32 Wounded
At least 23 people were killed and 32 more were wounded in fresh attacks.
In Baghdad, ten people were killed and 16 more were wounded as they watched a soccer match on television, when a bomb exploded at a café in Doura. Six people were wounded in a blast in Suleikh.
In Mosul, four people were killed and three more were wounded in a bombing at a liquor store.
In Kirkuk, a bomb killed three family members; two of them were women. Gunmen killed a man and his brother; both worked in the Sahwa forces.
One soldier was killed and three more were wounded in a blast in Shirqat.
A remote-controlled bomb killed two oil protection policemen in the village of Einil Jahash.
The body of a tribal chief, who was tortured before being shot, was found in Tuz Khormato.
Two policemen were wounded in a blast in Baquba.
An I.E.D. in Yathrib left two policemen wounded.
