Adele: Recording Skyfall was one of the proudest moments of my life
ADELE rests a hand on the score for the latest Bond theme – as she reveals it is one of her proudest achievments.
The singer tweeted the photo of the 'Booth Set' lyric book from inside what looks to be a recording studio.
It follows our the news last month that the pregnant star would record the official track for Skyfall.
The song is a collaboration with Paul Epworth, the man behind her phenomenally successful album, 21.
Recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, Skyfall features the lush accompaniment of a 77-piece orchestra.
And while revealing she was initially a little hesitant to be involved with the theme song, it turned out to be one of the proudest moments of her career.
She said: "There's a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a Bond song.
"But I fell in love with the script and Paul had some great ideas for the track and it ended up being a bit of a no brainer to do it in the end. It was also a lot of fun writing to a brief, something I've never done, which made it exciting.
"When we recorded the strings it was one of the proudest moments of my life.
"I’ll be back combing my hair when I'm 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day I'm sure!”
Last year on the Jonathan Ross show she hinted at her involvement telling Wossy: "I'm going back in the studio in November, fingers crossed.
"Well this is actually a theme, what I've got to do for, um, Wow. That's really giving something away isn't it?
The film, again starring Daniel Craig as Bond, is to be given its premiere next month.
She follows Jack White and Alicia Keys, who provided the theme to A Quantum Of Solace, while Chris Cornell voiced Craig’s first 007 performance, Casino Royale.
Other notable Bond singers include Lulu, Sir Tom Jones and Dame Shirley Bassey, as well as A-Ha and Duran Duran.
