PHOTO: South Carolina equipment team teases chrome helmets

South Carolina could be wearing a chrome helmet at some point in 2013, according to the Twitter account of the Gamecocks equipment staff.

Chrome helmets took over the matte helmet's role as the "trendy alternate helmet" in 2012, and it would not be a surprise to see more schools debut one in 2013. South Carolina is outfitted by Under Armour, and we have seen UA's fearlessness in the past -- most notably, the "Maryland Pride" uniforms -- when it comes to alternate uniforms.
