sticky? sweet!
I recently ordered custom post-it notes from VistaPrint and was very pleased with the quality when they arrived today. Sometimes I want to send clients ‘official’ communication, but it might not be ‘important’ enough to use a press-printed card or thank you note. These totally fit the bill and look fantastic.
I’ve altered my own template design for you to download (for FREE!) and create yours. The official VistaPrint crop and bleed guides are included in this .psd layered file. You can also change the colors of the pink and brown stripes, as well as the colors (box and border) of the square at top left. To change colors, click the color fill layers for each section — just double-click each box and you can change to any color you’d like. The content to alter is located inside folders. Make sure to open them so you can see what to edit. The pink arrow in this sample image shows where you click to change the colors.
You can either leave the little camera-icon and text I have there (which you will not be able to edit) — or hide that layer altogether and add your logo inside, or in place of, the square (dimensions provided in the file).
Don’t forget to hide the crop guide layer before printing! Once you go to save your work, these are VistaPrint’s accepted file formats. The font I used is Futura Medium Condensed.

There are a million VistaPrint coupon codes and freebies floating around out there, so make sure to hit up Google before you buy to make sure you’re getting the best deal. (And word of warning. They tend to spam. A lot. So you might want to use a secondary e-mail account to place your order just in case.)

cute. cute. cute. thanks robyn!!
I can certainly use this! It’s a great idea. I’m thinking they can also be given out to clients if the price is right.
I got the 4 you see above for $13.47 plus shipping. Each pad has 50 sheets. (I opted for the cheap ground shipping because I wasn’t in a rush.) I’d only intended to buy three and at checkout they offered me an additional one for like $1.99 so I took it. They normally start at $4.99 and there was a $3.74 charge for using a custom design (which was part of the $13.47 total price). So the custom ones ended up being about $3.37/pad plus shipping by buying 4 of them.
Then they all came in the mail with coupons for 25% off everything at the site. So check around online and play around with your cart – it’s cheaper to buy more than one at a time and they throw discounts at you at every turn.
Thanks, Robyn! These are so cute. I’ve had to include “unimportant” notes in clients’ orders before and these would’ve been perfect for that! I’m going to order some right now!
Thanks so much for sharing, Robyn!
Thanks for the tip Robyn!
Hi Robyn – What a cute template! I went to change the colors and am not able to in Elements. Just an fyi. I think I know a way around it, but it does not show the layers as shown in your post.
Love vistaprint.com, too!
I was so thrilled to see you post about their stickies–it’s a product I’d been planning to pick up the next time I had something printed by them, and was really curious about the quality. Now I know they might just be worth their very own order. Thank you, Robyn!
I don’t have Elements so I can’t say whether or not this will work for certain, but here is a tutorial on editing a fill layer in Elements:

Hope that helps / works — please report back if so!
Thanks so much! Love the idea/template.
I found a great coupon code. I get 100 for a little more than $100.
oooo! When I got my auction package from you, I literally SQUEALED when I saw you had Post-its too (you know, I invented Post-its…) so awesome! I’m totally getting some!
Romy reference! *eeeeeee!*
Thank you!
