The year long Sesquicentennial celebrations of the Bombay High Court are currently going on. The High Court has organized several functions so far. To mark completion of 150 years of establishment of the High Court a special postal cover shall be released at the hands of Shri Milind Deora, Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, Government of India. The function will be held in the historical Central Court Hall, High Court main building on Tuesday 14th August 2012 at 10..00 a.m. The Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court will preside over the function.

On 15th August, 2012 an Exhibition will be inaugurated by the Chief Ministerof Maharashtra Mr. Prithviraj Chavan in the Central Court Hall at 9.45 a.m. The Exhibition will display important artifacts, documents and articles of historical importance. The Exhibition shall remain open till 16th September, 2012. All are requested to come and see the exhibition.

The final concluding ceremony will be on 18th August, 2012 at Jamshed Bhabha Hall, NCPA, Nariman Point, Mumbai. The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh will be the Chief Guest at the concluding ceremony. Governor of Maharashtra, Chief Justice of India, Minister of Law and Justice, Government of India, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Governor of Goa, Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Justice Altamas Kabir, Judge Supreme Court of India and Attorney General for India will grace the function.
