30 Jan 2005 Owashi and Pineapple Hanai at DDT today

Touru Owashi and Pineapple Hanai were in attendance at today's DDT show, but it was in a spectator capacity, as far as anyone knows. Owashi apparently has friends on the DDT roster.

Conflicting reports on Milano now. Some people who were at the Tottori shows said Milano was his usual self, with no sign of injury. Also seems he is no longer coming to the ring with Mikeru, he gave the invisible dog away in Kawagoe at the end of last year.....

After the cooperation on the Legend Championship show yesterday, it was announced Ultimo and Satoru Sayama will jointly produce bi-monthly shows. All of the X participation matches were listed as "Toryumon" offers, not Toryumon X or Ultimo Dragon Gym.

27 Jan 2005 Much participation on Sayama show

TARU, the Sailor Boys, and Mini Crazy MAX appeared on Satoru Sayamas' Legend Championship show today. They wrestled against each other in the opner. Taiji and the Satos didn't enter to Keep on Journey. Mini MAX and TARU showed off a lot of teamwork, in defeat.
In match 4 (which I forgot happened, hence the update edit ....), the Salsas' did their usual salsa dance. M. CIMA and Murakami were seconded by Mini MAX and TARU

1. Taiji Ishimori{W}, Shu Sato, Kei Sato (10:31 Super Star Elbow) TARU, SUWAcito, Small Dandy Fuji
4. Mango Fukuda, Pineapple Hanai{W} (11:38 Loop of Pine) Mini CIMA, Manabu Murakami{L}

Also, there was a wrestler listed as 2nd Generation The Tiger, which was very obviously Ultimo. He wrestled twice, beating Junji Tanaka with the Asai DDT, then in the main event. He teamed with Sayama to defeat Masao Orihara and Sasuke the Great.

26 Jan 2005 Asai speaks.

Sportsnavi has a brief article/interview with the now very maskless Ultimo Dragon. He talks about his opinion on the current state of Japanese wrestling. Having sealed his identity, 2005 is called his turning point year. He hopes to continue as a producer in the wrestling world, but it made no mention of a Toryumon revival, or WWE.

The show opened with the formal 2/6 Dream Gate signing.

The move Shingo won with is his wrist clutch Death Valley Bomb type move he debuted at Korakuen. (He used it on Tanizaki during the Doi turn)

The Florida Brothers were going for the KO style trick win, but Stalker somehow got his arm involved, getting himself KO'd.

Fuji interfered and power bombed Araken, leading to the Bakatare (all of BloodGens' singles wins of late have involved interference like this)

Fujii has new entrance music (his first new theme in 5 years). Araken came out after the match and attacked him. He proclaimed FM2K would take BloodGens' necks.

Mochi got one up on Ryo today, winning with Ryos' current big move. He said he would win in Hakata with it, as well. Ryo countered by saying Mochis' dream door was closing, and he would open his own.

1/18/2005 Aagan speaks in Gong, the final word
Gong had an interview with the 5 wrestlers who comprised Aagan Iisou. After the Kawagoe shows, they appeared together at the DG fan appreciation party. After this, they were not together as a group again. News of the dismissal was spread through the company before it was given to them, they ended up hearing it from the Florida Brothers first.
They asked fans to respect them if they see them, as their lives have been thrown into chaos now. They each gave a quick comment on their future plans:

brother YASSHI: His first priority is recovering from an illness that he has.

Takuya Sugawara: Save money to get out of Kobe, where the DG gym is located and they all live. He was the only one who seemed open to regrouping as 5 members in the future.

Touru Owashi: He had nothing to say.

Shogo Takagi: He wants to compete everywhere, in all groups.

Shuji Kondo: He wasn't sure at the moment.

With that, they announced the official end of Aagan Iisou as a group (close to 1 year since they were formed officially). There will no longer be activity from the 5 as a unit at any time in the future, as they are going down 5 seperate roads. They also said they would never return to a DG ring, under no circumstances.

There we have it. Best of luck and blessings to the 5 of them in the future.

1/16/2005 TARU gets first win in AJPW, names unit
TARU scored his first direct fall in AJPW tonight, he and Stamboli beating the team of Keiji Mutoh and Tomoaki Honma. TARU used the TARU Driller on Honma. He named his team with Stamboli "Voodoo Murders"

2/5/05 Tokyo Nippon Budokan, Giant Baba Death 7th Anniversary

3. Masaaki Mochizuki, Susumu Yokosuka & K-ness vs. Dragon Kid, Genki Horiguchi & Ryo Saito

No real surprise there, since the participants were announced. K-ness had been listed as Darkness Dragon, but as expected it was a mistake. Kanda will referee.

1/9/2005 WakuWaku Fuji Land final performance
Tonights' Gifu show will be the final one for WakuWaku Fuji Land. Don Fujii made the formal announcement that the new CIMA unit will get it's name at Korakuen on the 14th. No real surprise there.

1/4/2005 Aagan update
An announcement about the dismissal of Aagan Iisou was finally posted to the Gaora site. Nothing new was mentioned, just the same reasons given in the mass media releases. Again it pointed to Nagoya on the 9th for more detail.
Indications have been lately that if this isn't an angle, the 5 of them resigned voluntarily, and this is the way the office decided to play it.

http://www.gaora.co.jp/dragongate/rls/2005/0101.html

The entire player profile section, in addition to the BBS for Aagan Iisou was removed this afternoon from the official Dragon Gate site.
Day by day the situation begins to look a more and more real than initially thought.....4 days before we know more.

1/3/2005 Mini MAX in K-Dojo
Mini Crazy MAX competed on the 1/3 K-Dojo show in Blue Field. Mini CIMA, Small Dandy Fuji, and SUWAcito beat Hajime Ishikawa, Sambo Oishi, and Bousou Boy Raito in 11:09, CIMA over Hajime by Mad Splash.

1/2/ 2005 TARU victorious in his AJPW debut
TARU made his return to the ring at todays' All Japan Korakuen show. He and new partner Johnny Stamboli defeated Keiji Mutoh and David Flair in 6:42, Stamboli pinning Flair with his overhead press into powerslam finisher. TARU continued his aim of war with Mutoh.

1/1/2005 TARU arrives in All Japan
TARU has joined AJPW. He showed up at today's Korakuen Hall show, as manager for Johnny Stamboli. Stamboli was wrestling as GREAT MUTA. TARU took the micorphone and introduced him as his real name, telling fans about his WWE past. He declared entrance in the AJPW ring, aiming at Mutoh.

1/1/2005
The biggest story is that the entire Aagan Iisou unit was dismissed/fired on the 31st. Citing increasing misconduct and neglect of duty, all 5 members, Kondo, Jet, YASSHI, Sugawara, and Owashi, were let go. President Okamura said he would have more on this at the first show of 2005, on the 9th in Nagoya.
Also on the Nagoya show, 3 matches have already been announced. Araken vs. Owashi is obviously now in doubt, due to the Aagan situation. Mochi vs. DK is not for the Dream Gate.

1/9/2005 Nagoya International Conference Event Hall
1. Keni'chiro Arai vs. Touru Owashi
2. Masaaki Mochizuki vs. Dragon Kid
3. OPEN THE TRIANGLE GATE Titles
Milano Collection AT, YOSSINO, Anthony W. Mori vs. K-ness, Susumu Yokosuka, Naruki Doi

Second Doi announced at the 12/25 Kawagoe show that he would be reverting to his real name, effective 2005.

Naoki Tanizaki, who suffered a severe respiratory infection, has recovered through the worst part. He hopes to return to the ring in Nagoya or later in January. His illness was initially worried to have needed surgery on his lungs, which would have been career ending.

The most anticipated event of January will be the new unit CIMA is putting together. CMAX was dissolved at the end of November, and since then CIMA, Don Fujii, Shingo Takagi, and Super Shisa have been teaming together under the temporary name Waku Waku Fujii Land. It's expected that CIMA will turn heel.
