Pro Bike: Chris Froome's yellow-accented Pinarello Dogma 65.1
Froome rode this yellow-accented Pinarello Dogma to third on the penultimate stage to the top of le Semnoz, clinching the yellow jersey before Sunday's parade through Paris.
Sky mechanics wouldn't let us measure Froome's bike, as they have done with other team bikes in the past, but we can spot a few measurements: He's on a 126mm stem, 40cm bars, 172.5mm Dura-Ace cranks, and 23mm Veloflex tubulars. A bit of foreshadowing with Froome's assigned number plate. Of course, it was his teammate Bradley Wiggins that won last year's Tour, but with Wiggins sidelined Froome was presented with the venerable No. 1. Photo: Caley Fretz | VeloNews.com

Froome frequently races by his power meter; he knows how much power he has to put out and when, thanks to calculations performed by team staff. Sky uses SRM power meters, long the gold standard in power measurement, and Froome mounts Osymetric rings, which increase the effective gear at the powerful points in the pedal stroke. Sky hasn't gone overboard with the yellow, sticking with a few highlights and this band on the fork. That could all change on Sunday, of course. Photo: Caley Fretz | VeloNews.com

The Dogma has the distinction of having won more major WorldTour stage races in the last year than any other frame. Photo: Caley Fretz | VeloNews.com

However, the Dogma frame isn't particularly light. A carbon saddle and super-light wheels help bring Froome's bike down to exactly 6.8kg. Photo: Caley Fretz | VeloNews.com

And one of the team's custom-built, unlabeled wheels out back. He ran his usual Osymetric rings, equivalent to a 54/40 or so, and an 11-28 cassette. Photo: Caley Fretz | VeloNews.com
