Melissa Carter departing All News 106.7

By Rodney Ho

Multiple sources have informed me that former Bert Show host Melissa Carter is leaving her news hosting post at All News 106.7.

She currently co-hosts with Greg Black from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

But where will she land? Will she stay in radio? There are job openings  on local radio right now, including the Star 94 afternoon host and the morning show at B98.5. [UPDATE: 8/13/13: She was hired as part of the morning shot at B98.5. Details here.]

She left Q100 in 2011 without a job in mind but returned to radio at All News when it debuted last year.

I reached out to her via email and Facebook but have not gotten a response back yet.

She was a key member of the Bert Show for a decade and before that, she worked with 99X.

I interviewed her via email last November on the 10th anniversary of her kidney transplant.

Q: And how do you like your new job?

Carter: Love it.  I get to write and anchor news at a higher level, which is what I’ve always wanted to do.  And the All News 106.7 crew is a great team to work with.
