The Final RAW of the Year, on December 26th 2011, from Chicago Illinois is going to feature the WWE Champion CM Punk running the gauntlet against opponents picked by John Laurinaitis. Plus Kane explains his motivations for attacking John Cena.

WWE RAW 12/26/11

John Laurinaitis makes his way out to CM Punk’s music. It’s a wonder that he didn’t get himself lynched in Chicago. Then out comes Punk to save us from being lulled off to sleep. A nice back and forth little segment between CM Punk and John Laurinaitis, with Johnny Boy saying that he could fire Punk but he took management classes. In fact, he’s going to put Punk in a gauntlet match where if anyone beats him, they get a title shot. Laurinaitis can’t wrestle, that’s for sure. Punk quips that they must have been watching All Japan tapes.

The end shall begin. Video for the mystery man is showed.

Booker T defeated Cody Rhodes

The story here is that a fresh Booker T really could match up with Cody Rhodes. A slow start but the end was amazing and hopefully we’ll be able to see more from these two, as eventually Cody beats Booker when he’s fresh to move on up. Axe Kick finishes off Cody Rhodes for the pin.

Zack Ryder thanks John Cena and they wonder what Kane’s problem might be.

Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler, and Mark Henry will be the men fighting Punk in the Gauntlet Match.

Brodus Clay may debut next week. I’ll believe it when I see it. Brodus is angry about his lack John Laurinaitis makes a match with David Otunga and the Big Show, with one hand tied behind the Big Show’s back. How very old school of them.

Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger bicker. Ziggler says the last time Swagger was relevant was 2009. OUCH. Mark Henry steps into the fray.

Zack Ryder and Eve Torres defeated Tyson Kidd and Natalya

Hart Dynasty reuniting tonight on RAW. Zack Ryder apparently has a thing for Eve. A pretty fun mixed tag team match, with all four competitors putting in a good effort. Ryder swoops in and nails Kidd with the Rough Ryder to score the pin.

John Cena is out to rise above the hate, as the vomit rises above my throat. He calls out Kane but here comes the Miz. The Miz beat John Cena at Wrestlemania, whether or not the Rock helped him. He wants to prove himself and challenges John Cena, with Cena accepting.

John Cena defeated the Miz via countout

Miz bails, having said that he got the win at Wrestlemania 27 over the Rock and he has nothing to prove. He gets counted out and then R-Truth returns from his Wellness Vacation and attacks Miz.

The Big Show defeated David Otunga via disqualification with one hand tied behind his back.

The Big Show manages to get the better of Otunga and then Mark Henry rushes out, with Daniel Bryan coming out as well. Otunga eats a choke slam in this. This one was what it was as well.

Alberto Del Rio is out in an epic wheelchair, with a leopard print. He’s out for four to six weeks with a torn groin. Sadly he does not tell the fans that they wouldn’t know what that’s like because they don’t have any groins like Bret Hart once did. And who are you to doubt El Dandy? The Bellas bicker about Del Rio but Del Rio yells at them to scram. He vows to return stronger than ever. A good promo as per usual with Alberto Del Rio.

CM Punk defeated Jack Swagger

Obviously Swagger was not going to win, so it really did suck a bit of a drama, with Punk getting the win, drilling Swagger with a huge kick right to the face to advance forward in the gauntlet match.

Dolph Ziggler defeated CM Punk

A spirited encounter involving Dolph Ziggler and CM Punk but I’m sure the match that it sets up next week will be even better. Since it was Punk’s home town and he got the biggest victory last time at Money in the Bank, he does the job here to Ziggler, being put down by the Zig Zag. Ziggler gets a WWE Title Shot next week. I think he won’t be winning but who really knows.

Kane is out. He hates rising above the hate. Everyone hates, its natural as breathing. That’s why he attacked Cena. He tries to get the fans to chant Cena sucks, but they’re not quite going along with the bait. This feud continues and it kind of died tonight a little bit. Kane should have just kept killing John Cena without saying a word, until the inevitable Cena slays the monster moment.
