Communication and outreach are crucial for the effective implementation of the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety. In this regard, Parties to the Protocol have welcomed the
Outreach Strategy (2003-2005) and the new
Outreach Strategy (2008-2012) for the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety of the CBD Secretariat and invited Governments and relevant organizations to support the Executive Secretary in its implementation.
