Districts and Regions of the Unitarian Universalist Association

UUA Regions and Districts

There are sixteen Districts and one Region of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) in North America. The mission of the UUA Districts and Regions is to serve as the primary local resource for congregations and to help extend Unitarian Universalist influence in the larger community.  They are the local presence of the UUA.

Each of the 16 Districts is also part of a Region. Each Region has a Regional Lead and a wide variety of both Deep Generalists and Specialists available to provide both Spiritual and Practical Leadership within their Region/District.  These include but are not limited to consultations on a wide variety of congregational issues such as long-range planning and organizational development, ministerial transitions, leadership training, and conflict management.

The directory page for each Region/District provides those local resource contacts. This is a list of each District and Region.

Regions and Regional Leads

Our constant mission is: how do we serve our congregations in the best ways? How do we advance the work of congregations? How do we best continue in partnership with local congregations? In order to have a range of people and a range of skills to best serve our congregations we are moving toward a shared staff team model with a Lead in each Region (The Rev. Dr. Terasa Cooley)
