  • Ed Viesturs

    Ed Viesturs is widely regarded as this country’s foremost high-altitude mountaineer.
    Viesturs has successfully reached the summits of all of the world’s fourteen 8000-meter peaks without supplemental oxygen, an 18 year project he christened Endeavor 8000. His goal was completed on May 12, 2005 with his ascent of Annapurna one of the world’s most treacherous peaks. He is one of only a handful of climbers in history (and the only American) to accomplish this. In 2005 Viesturs was awarded National Geographic’s Adventurer of the Year.

    Viesturs’ motto has always been that climbing has to be a round trip. All of his planning and focus during his climbs maintains this ethic and he is not shy about turning back from a climb if conditions are too severe. In spite of his conservative attitude Viesturs has been one of the most successful Himalayan climbers in American history. His story is about risk management as well as being patient enough for conditions to allow an ascent. Ultimately, in his words, “The mountain decides whether you climb or not. The art of mountaineering is knowing when to go, when to stay, and when to retreat.”

Why should I attend Zija Summit 2013?
This is the best opportunity to network with fellow Distributors and customers, receive new product and business training, and learn how to be a better leader and entrepreneur. This is the most exciting time of the year at Zija—you don’t want to miss it!
Do I have to be a Zija Independent Distributor or Preferred Customer to attend?
No. We welcome any and all who want to share this experience with us; however, every attendee must pre-register for Zija Summit.
How can I pre-register to attend?
Click here to pre-register now. Pre-registering for the event will guarantee your spot and helps us plan for your arrival. This event may sell out, so make sure to register as soon as possible.
How can I get the best rate for Summit attendance?

Is my registration transferable?
Yes. You may change your name or transfer your registration for free until September 26th. After that point, all changes must be made on-site at the event, and a $5 fee will be charged.
Is there a couple or group discount available?
No. All registration prices are per individual person. You can register one guest when you register, but you must have all of their information and pay the total amount for you and your guest.
Is there a way to earn free Summit 2013 registration?
Yes. We are running a promotion until September 26, 2013 called “Summit Surge”. This promotion gives Zija Independent Distributors the opportunity to earn free Summit 2013 registration as well as raffle tickets and store credit to purchase Zija clothing, gear, accessories, and more. Can I cancel my registration?
Yes, you can cancel your registration, with the following restrictions:

Does the Zija Summit 2013 registration fee include meals?
No; however, lunch buffet meal tickets can be purchased for Friday and Saturday for $25 per person per day when you register. Otherwise, you are responsible for your own meals while attending Zija Summit 2013. Because we will be in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, there are many great restaurants in every price range within walking distance. We will provide a list of nearby restaurants and local attractions in your welcome packet. What is the dress code for Summit?
Dress for most activities is business casual. For the Closing Recognition Gala, it is recommended that you dress up a bit—cocktail dresses for ladies, jackets and ties for men.
Which airport should I fly into?
Salt Lake International Airport (SLC), which is about 7 miles (a 15-minute drive) from the Salt Palace Convention Center.
Do I provide my own transportation from the airport to my hotel?

Yes, you must provide your own transportation from the airport to the hotel and back. Taxis are available at the airport and can be set up through your hotel. You can also book a shuttle with Xpress Shuttle or use Zija’s Budget discount code.

Another option is to use UTA’s TRAX light rail system, which goes between the airport and downtown Salt Lake City. If you choose this option, you will most likely want to get off at the "Temple Square" stop, which is on the north side of the Salt Palace Convention Center.
