Speaking And Building 2012-2013

A group of independent choreographers are involved in different stages of a serial project in 2012-2013. The project explores aspects of choreographic transmission - supported by a publication - a choreographic poetic.

"Speaking And Building" explores choreographical actions of materiality and memory. The project offers various perspectives and meaning shifts that occur when the choreography is transported from one medium to another, examined and displayed in terms of space, body, object, film and sound.

“Language is a staunch fortress in which we can ward off the open. Nonetheless, we occasionally let visitors in. In human relationships, speaking and building usually create sufficient security that you can now and then permit ecstasy.” Peter Sloterdijk
