On Monday, September 16, 2013 of Alexandria, VA. Beloved husband of Cathy J. Read. Son of Levis Read of Clearfield, PA and the late Doris Jean Lingle. Loving father of Jessica Read and husband Michael Giffin of Alexandria, VA. Brother of David Read and wife Melody of Dubois, PA. Grandfather of three. A gathering will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Jefferson Funeral Chapel, 5755 Castlewellan Dr., Alexandria, VA and also where a memorial service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to: Lab Rescue, www.lab-rescue.org or to the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, 4101 Eisenhower Ave., Alexandria, VA 22304.

Jerry, as your younger cousin, I always looked up to you and had great amount of respect because you always "gotter done". Always serious about life and everything you did (except when you were horsing around with Ron and playing "Keep away from Gary") I didn't see you much but you were always with me. I will miss you greatly.
