In a spicy twist, the staircar turns up in Mexico. Increasingly frustrated and resentful about being abandoned, Michael wants to find his fugitive father to give him a piece of his mind. George Michael invites his girlfriend, Ann, whom Michael does not like, on the road trip, and a suspicious G.O.B. hires a bounty hunter to retrieve them. Things only go from bad to worse when Michael inadvertently leaves Ann in Mexico.

Quotes

Maeby: The important thing is that you guys don’t lose focus on yourselves.

Tobias: You know, first of all, we are doing this for her, okay, because neither one of us wants to get divorced. And second-of-ly, I know you’re the big marriage expert. Oh, I’m sorry. I forgot. Your wife is dead. I’m sorry. That was 100% inappropriate, and I do apologize profusely. I’m... Oh...

This is my favorite episode out of all the seasons. So many classic lines and scenes. The gene parmesan thing was amazing.... Buster going going to "mexico" and his "slave buddies".

Also the Ann Hog was amazing.. as was is she funny or something?

My favourite quote in this episode is, hands down, when Michael says "we just have to beat the sun", as they drive back to pick up the abandoned Ann.

And

"Nice deck. Is this where you saw him last?...I could see that’s a man. I’ll find him."

"I think your knee is on my heart."

Are awesome too. And let’s not forget

"I figured if I blue myself early, I’d be nice and relaxed for a 9:00 dinner reservation. And if you’d like, I could make that reservation for..."

Michael: We’re going to go to Mexico, try to find Pop-pop. It’ll be an adventure.

Tobias: And 8:01. Curtain has risen.

Michael: Hey, Tobias, I was wondering if you are available tomorrow to go down to Mexico. I need two drivers.

Tobias: Alas, I have two shows tomorrow that I am standby for the Blue Man Group. Might as well keep this makeup on, since it takes so bleeping long to get off.

Michael: Hmm. Lindsay, what about you?

Lindsay: Uh, can’t. I have a big date tomorrow.

Michael: You know, this open marriage is ridiculous. Somebody’s going to get hurt.

[an extended awkward silence]

I’m sorry. That was 100% inappropriate, and I do apologize profusely. I’m... Oh...

hey police! (or anyone),

I know I am probably missing something obvious, but I don’t get the reference to "beat the sun"... can you enlighten me?

Thanks! Hope you all are enjoying your dvds!

I don’t think it’s a joke, I think Michael is just concerned about Ann being outside in Mexico at night. So they’re trying to beat the sunset.

yeah...just like how you wouldn’t want to be wandering around in the inner-city at night, if you didn’t belong there.

maybe i’m imagining things but there’s a scene where michael’s talkin with gob in front of a (church?)building right before they leave mexico... and at the beginning when they’re talking a bunch of old people can be see sitting in front of the church, but there’s a part where you can’t see any at all, and then they’re suddenly back... dumb I know but I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t seeing things? Anybody else spot that?

Ann doesn’t look a day over 12 in this episode.

And was the narrator lying when he said George Sr. was in the chapel?

#72 djc3 wrote on December 29, 2006:

This is probably one of the best episodes of AD ever made.

I watched this while on vacation in Mexico. It was amazing.
