Mark Osmond

Mark trained at ‘The Oxford School of Drama’. He played Mr. Cecil Graham in Mark Rayment’s production of ‘Lady Windermere’s Fan’ and created the role of ‘Eddie’ in the world premiere of Ted Hughes ‘Crow’.

Since graduating he has worked as an actor in such diverse productions as the award winning ‘Adult Abuse’ for Upstage and Julian Rathbone’s ‘The Merry Wives’ as well working as a voiceover artist.

For Michael Rose Ltd he performed in pantomime for eight consecutive years playing Skylights in ‘Peter Pan’ alongside Ron Moody and subsequently with Matthew Kelly, Igor in ‘Snow White’ with Lynda Baron, Simple Simon in ‘Beauty and the Beast’ with Brian Cant, Dandini in ‘Cinderella’ with Russ Spencer from Scooch and PC. Pong in ‘Aladdin’ where he met his wife Sandra Dickinson.

Mark has also spent the last nine years teaching drama at ‘Stagedoor School of Dance & Drama’ in Bournemouth and has now entered his sixth year as principal of his own drama school ‘Close-up Theatre School Ltd’, which he runs with Sandra in London where they live. They have written and produced three shows with the students and are now preparing for this year’s show.

An accomplished musician and singer Mark now has his own band ‘Bigger Than Mary’ in which he is the lead singer. They are pleased to have recently performed for the ‘Formula 1 Petrolhead Ball’ in aid of ‘Help for Heroes’.

He met his wife, Sandra Dickinson in panto nine years ago in Poole. They were reunited on stage in Harlow’s production’ Cinderella’ in 2009, having married on Living TV’s first series of ‘Four Weddings’ the previous summer. Last Christmas Mark appeared in pantomime again in Exeter with Sandra in ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarves’, playing ‘Henrich’ to Sandra’s ‘Wicked Queen’. They will soon be seen together on ‘Celebrity Cash in the Attic’.
