The sheets for my Wedding Welcome Packet were printed as flyers on high gloss paper. The bridal and e-session cards are rack cards and the groom card is a 5×7 watercolor card from WHCC. The large kraft envelopes and folders are from Paper Presentation.

Hi, I’m Lindsay – a lifestyle and wedding photographer based in Fort Mill, South Carolina. After four years of business, I knew that I was ready for a change. I decided to jump head first into a complete overhaul and re-brand of my business which was unveiled in April. (You can read all about the process here.) It was a four month journey from start to finish that included a new logo, rebuilding a new website and blog, new products, a business video, new processes (from a business side), new opportunities for my clients, new marketing and NEW packaging.

It was a TON of hard work and many late nights of decision making. In the end, I am so happy with the final outcome and a “look” that truly reflects who I am and what my business is all about.

One of the most fun parts of the re-brand was designing my new marketing and packaging. When I began to envision my custom packaging I knew that I wanted everything to have a very personal touch. With so many things manufactured these days, there is something about holding something someone MADE and personalized in your hands that always feels, I dunno, warm and inviting.

I wanted packaging that looked like me and spoke to the heart of the details that I care so much about. I also wanted everything to coordinate, feel organic and have a purpose. I found ways to implement my signature metallic gold, black, white, kraft and my fun chevron print as the bones of my design. I then worked to create something that was beautiful, meaningful and practical for my clients.

    Here is the vendor information for the photos and products shown above:

1. Business cards were designed by me and ordered from VistaPrint
    on their new high-quality thick stock. I love them! I hand-painted
    the edges myself. LOVE how they turned out!

2. My postcards were designed by me and ordered from VistaPrint -
    their standard postcards. Practical and perfect for their purpose.
    They are lots of fun to send!

3. My small treat bags for my little clients along with my larger
    muslin bags are from Celestial Gifts.

4. My stamps were designed by me and ordered through
    RubberStamps.net.

5. My vertical hang-tags are basically vertical business cards with
    my image on the front and basic info on the back. They are a linen
    texture from VistaPrint.

6. My kraft DVD sleeves are from ReBinder. I have used them all
    four years of my business and just love them. They look great,
    work great and are RECYCLED materials. The best part!

7. My gold and white twine is from The Twinery.

8. Both trifolds were designed by me and were printed through
    WHCC on their watercolor paper. I LOVE the quality and feel
    of these. They are really beautiful.

9. Kraft bags and tissue are from Hobby Lobby and when they
    go on sale (which they always do), I stock up! Inside are
    usually prints that are inserted into bags with backing board
    from ClearBags.com.

10. My wedding boxes are from Paper Source. I have also used
     them for my boxes for four years. The quality is GREAT and I
     love that these have a nubby, recycled paper quality to them.

I filled the interior of the bag with gear and electronics I would normally take with me on a regular shoot and use daily. The bag had to close, remain closed, and stay closed – without any visible strain to the zippers – when worn on my shoulder.

Please note that I only filled interior compartments. Additional storage still remains available in the two front magnetic-closure pockets, the one back zippered pocket, and the removable lens cap holder.

My favorite features of this bag are the two center zippered pockets on either side of the main zippered compartment. I can keep my tablet or iPad on one side separate from my camera and lenses – and my glasses, wallet, and phone separate on the other side.

The interior zipper pockets free the front and back pockets for keys, cosmetics, and other small items that no one wants to fish out of a full camera bag / purse combo when time is of the essence. And the detachable lens cap holder is nothing short of genius.

I especially like that this camera bag is genuine leather. So many similar bags at similar price-points are not. Here is the official product description:

Camera storage compartment has two horizontal Velcro strips on each side to allow full customization for storage needs. Zippered compartment contains an elastic band with clasp at the end to conveniently hold keys. There are three compartment dividers to help organize, separate, and protect you individual items in this compartment. Each divider measures 6 inches tall and 4 inches wide. The dividers have Velcro strips on each side to allow them to readily attach to the sides of the main camera compartment.

The bag has five large studs on the bottom to help protect your bag from the wear and tear of setting it down on various surfaces, and includes a detachable padded shoulder strap and dustbag.

catching up

Can you believe we’re already in JUNE? Our boys are out of school for the summer, we just celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary, we’ve lived in Georgia a full year as of this month, and our youngest son is about to turn EIGHT years old!

It goes without saying, things are quite hectic around our household right now. So hectic, we never even got the May issue of Professional Photographer Magazine online – and that’s Robyn’s next-to-last issue of the magazine! (The June issue is on the way…and then it’s onward and upward from there!)
