I'm relatively new to embossing. The first embossing powders I bought were black, white, and pink from Michael's arts and crafts. I didn't know about clear embossing powder until I found it here on Amazon. I absolutely LOVE that I can use my pretty stamp inks and still have the color of the stamp, but embossed as well. Like I said, I'm kinda new at this, but I thought I'd review anyway for the newbies like me. :-)

I love this glitter, i use it to highlight and accent many of my projects. It is more sparkly and glittery than Sprakly Crystal transparent powder, and it is gorgeous, Things you can do with the powder-:

1) With an embossing pen i used Ranger Inkssentials Embossing Pens 2/Pkg, Black And Clear, i can draw over the lines of my pattern paper where i want it to glitter, for eg: emboss over a flower to highlight the flower on my paper and then use transparent holographic embossing powder. Your paper will look similar to those DCWV glitter pattern paper

2) I emboss my punch out flowers. I punch our my flowers, stamp versamark on my paper flowers and then use embossing powder - it will make your flowers super gorgeous

3)I cut out title or images from my pattern paper (eg: butterflies, or words, titles) i stamp versamark and then use embossing powder - your embellishment will look glittery and professional

4) i stamp an image using Brilliance Dew Drop Ink Pad - Graphite Black - then i emboss the stamp image with embossing powder - your stamp will look glittery and stunning

Color Name: Clear Verified Purchase
Clear powders are applied to all images stamped with colored pigment inks as the embossed lines will reveal the colored ink below. They come in regular, fine, and super fine. I use the super fine when I have stamped a design with thin or intricate lines. I have used many types of the Ranger line of powders and have found all to be of excellent quality. Fine and super fine are often called detail powders because they are capable of detailing fine lines while the regular works for solid designs or thicker lines. I also keep gold and silver on hand as they cover my basic needs. Excess super fine powders have to be tapped off as they tend to leave a fine residue. There are many different brands available but I find Ranger to be consistent in quality. For fun try some of Ranger's other lines of powders. Don't forget you need a heat tool to melt the powder into the paper. I like one that is less likely to overheat the powders which are often evident with colored powders. For that reason I prefer Ranger's heat tool but whatever tool you have will work. Just remember to remove the heat as soon as the powder is melted.

This holographic embossing powder is just as easy to use as any other embossing powder. It gives a spectacular result. Lots of color in just one application. I was surprised that it does give a 'color-changing' emboss just by tilting the paper. It seems to be super fine, which, although it detailed even the finest lines {very crisp detail}, it was very static, and hard to brush off the paper I had under it, {even though I used the 'baby powder' stuff to stop it from clinging everywhere}. I still give it a 5 star rating - it gives is one of a kind look.

Pretty silver embossing powder. (The photo color looks bronze but it is really a silver.) Easy to apply and works well. It is opaque, so whatever ink you use does not show through. The silver is smooth and metallic looking after heating. The powder has a nice silky consistency. You get a surprising amount in this jar. The jar is nice, too with a screw on cap. I am a novice stamper, but made some Birthday cards using birthday stamps and they turned out really nice. The balloons were outlined in this silver embossing and filled in with watercolor pencils. To get the powder to emboss, the easiest way for me is to still use the old fashioned toaster method. I have the heat dryer with works great but the toaster works good, too, especially for small stamped images.

I make charity cards and this embossing powder allows an extra touch to my colored inks. It is easy to use and always "heats" to a perfect look.

I love copper color. However, this powder after heated, it become uneven because the particles are rough. Ideal for bigger image embossing.

Color Name: Rich Red Verified Purchase
Wow! This is a gorgeous red! It has been difficult for me to find a red that is not "orange-y" or "pink-ish/purple-ish" until now. I love the color and the ease of use. As I am an amateur "embosser-y" person, at best (a title that does not seem to be slipping away, regardless of my enthusiasm, but I have hopes) I love this product! It is fabulous!
