Tamil movie Raja Rani, which was released last week across the world is getting positive reviews from the critics. People of Karnataka, who watched the movie has claimed that it is an adaptation of Kannada Blockbuster movie Milana.
Milana, was released in 2007, which had Puneet Rajkumar, Parvathi Menon and Pooja Gandhi in the lead roles. It was directed by Prakash. The story deals with the life of a couple (Anjali and Akash), who gets married, just to satisfy their parents.
Eventually, Akash and Anjali become friends, and Akash even reconciles and brings Anjali together with her boyfriend (Hemanth). But, they come to know the real face of Hemanth, who loved Anjali only for her money and he was well paid by Anjali's father to forget her. Anjali will be horrified to know the fact and attempts suicide. She will be convinced by Akash, and he encourages her to apply for the higher studies in USA.
Raja Rani, which is a romantic thriller, marks the debut of young talent Atlee, who had worked as an assistant for Tamil star director Shankar. It is said that he has made the necessary changes in the movie, to make it look like an original one.
