NEWTON, Iowa — Sprint Cup star Kyle Busch qualified first, led the most laps and won the Long John Silver’s 200 at Iowa Speedway.

The race was the only one of the season which will award points to competitors from both the NASCAR Camping World Series East and West series for their respective championships. By winning the event, Busch earned an invitation to the annual post-season all-star race for the two divisions at the end of the season.
Goodyear is the exclusive tire supplier for the Camping World Series program, as well as for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The tires supplied to the Camping World program are of bias-ply construction, giving the car a different feel from the Goodyear radials Busch is accustomed to in his Sprint Cup cars.
The difference did not seem to matter to Busch. After posting the fastest lap in qualifying around the .875-mile Iowa oval, he proceeded to lead 178 of the 200 laps and take the victory.

Brian Ickler finished second, just 1.864 seconds behind the winner. David Mayhew was third, followed by Jeffrey Earnhardt and Paulie Harraka. Busch averaged 100.800 mph for the 200-lap distance. His pole-winning lap averaged 135.484 mph.
The starting field included 37 cars. They came from 19 American states and one Canadian province.
