Seniorologie Tour will be heading to Virginia

Announcing the Seniorologie Tour Virginia, a workshop dedicated to the study of senior portrait photography. If you have ever wanted to learn the ins and outs of senior portrait photography from some of the top senior portrait photographers, this is the workshop for you!

Seniorologie founder, Leslie Kerrigan, will be joined at this stop on the tour with two past tour speakers who attendees have adored, Courtney DeLaura of Get Schooled Photo and Amii Wroblewski of Amii Wroblewski Photography.  In addition to these speakers, they also will have two new speakers, Ryan Towe of Ryan Towe Photography and Lexi Vornberg of Lexi Vornberg Photography and Lemonade and Lenses. They will all share with you things such as how to interact with seniors, posing tips, social media techniques, marketing and so much more!

The workshop will also include two photo shoots to allow you a chance to practice what you have learned and build your portfolio! They will have styled shoots set up to give you the chance to experiment with different lighting situations, posing and more. You will be able to put to use the things you learn from these amazing photographers while you are at the workshop and even get some one-on-one instruction as you shoot!

Camp Workshops, meeting fun people and photographing a lovely mama~ busy summer!

It's been a crazy busy summer here...as I'm sure all of you are feeling the effects of having kids home and less time to work. This blog has been neglected so much recently~ but in the end I'd rather say I neglected my blog more than my kids. So they have been a priority this summer...and I hope you understand. So basically I'm going to cram lots of info into one blog post...ready??

I went to camp...I've always wanted to say that...but it wasn't quite camp...it was a Summer Supper to kick off the launch of Camp Workshops...and it was lovely! My makeup artist (the lovely Claudia Mejerle) is one of the camp counselors and I heard about the event through her Facebook page...and I was dying to go. But had no desire to go by myself not knowing anyone else. I ended up picking up a fellow Atlanta photographer to attend with me~ even though we had never met before...it was a "blind supper date"...and I lucked out on having a great girl to attend with! Jen Wright (yep...you've probably heard of her if you follow the Baby As Art workshops) is the sweetest and funniest girl to spend an evening with (she's the blonde in the Instagram pics below...I told you she was fun). I also met some other fabulous people...and was completely honored to meet some Savvy readers! Nothing makes you feel better than having someone tell you that your blog changed their life and career path...makes it all worth it!!

One of the wonderful girls I met at the supper was the lovely Anna from In Honor of Design. She runs a great blog and is extremely talented! She also is expecting her third baby...today!  

And after meeting her and seeing her adorable belly, I knew I wanted to photograph her...and she agreed! So three days before her due date (which is today, did I already say that?) we got her in to the Savvy Studio and photographed away...and away. I couldn't stop (don't you know that feeling...you are getting so many great images and just keep going?) and I love the end result. To see more of her images, visit The Savvy Studio blog. The adorable workspace of Two Twenty One

We all love a great workspace...it makes you feel much more productive (and happy) working in an organized and pretty space. I recently came across this Home Office Makeover by Chelsea at Two Twenty One. I adore this charming little space! The colors are beautiful and calming...yet it's a cheerful space. I also fell in love with her fabric covered Memo Board...so adorable and she has a great tutorial on how to make it! I might have to try this soon!
